On a homestead, stands a once tidy home in slight disarray. Along the worn wooden siding, a window sits. It’s kept its frame intact but only one glass pane remains. The upper left. It holds, reflecting the passing sky. As if time is slower here, as if it could be paused. Through the open pane-less sections, you can see through the interior of the abandoned home to the opposite window. In this small sliver, you can see straight to the actual sky and it’s clouds. Even in ruin, the house remembers how to hold the sky. One pane reflecting, the rest have let go.
